Sean and Alisa Say I Do in Sun Valley
You know those people who have been in your orbit for a long time and you've always wanted to get to know them better, but life doesn't ever quite line things up? Sean and Alisa are those people for me. I've known the Dumke family for most of my life and met the lovely Alisa when she moved to Sun Valley through mutual friends. We'd bump into each other and occasionally hang out in groups, and I was always drawn in to their kindness and general good vibe they bring to any social situation. That's why I was so so honored when they chose me to shoot their wedding - it was the perfect way to get to know these two in a more intimate way and create something magical!
The entire day was exactly that - magic. Even though we had rain showers while Alisa got her makeup done, it was completely blue bird by the time we left for the first look! Sean and Alisa exchanged a teary, beautiful first look in the wildflowers just up the hill from Sean's childhood home. After a brief intimate moment, the wedding was on!
The private venue is the home of Sean's cousins and had already been the location for three family weddings. To say the grounds were immaculate was a understatement... This place was made for a party! Bloom Theory did the most stunning job accentuating the natural beauty of the estate with shades of light pink, yellows, whites and greenery. Sun Valley put on quite the show, with a splitter bluebird day and perfect soft sunset. After the ceremony and cocktail hour, we snuck away for intimate sunset photos which did not disappoint and was easily my favorite part of the day. I won't stop thinking about this one for a while.
